Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
Begin your adventure in Casablanca, visiting the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques. Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, exploring the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and Kasbah of the Udayas. After lunch, travel through the scenic Rif Mountains to the picturesque blue city of Chefchaouen, where you’ll overnight in a traditional riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Enjoy a morning stroll through Chefchaouen’s charming blue alleys before traveling south to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Meknes, known for its monumental gates and imperial palaces, then arrive in Fes for dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day 3: Full-Day Guided Tour of Fes
Explore Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, Karaouine Mosque, and the famous tanneries. Wander through the labyrinthine Medina of Fes el-Bali, one of the world’s oldest and most fascinating markets. Conclude the day with a traditional Moroccan dinner accompanied by Andalusian music at your riad.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
Depart Fes and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane (“Switzerland of Morocco”) and the cedar forest of Azrou to see playful Barbary apes. Continue through Midelt and Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, before reaching Erg Chebbi, the majestic dunes near Merzouga. Overnight in a traditional kasbah overlooking the desert.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert Adventure & Camel Trek

Watch a magical sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga for breakfast. Travel through Rissani and Tinghir, visiting the breathtaking Todra Gorge. Continue to the scenic Dades Valley, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a riad with panoramic views.
Day 7: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
Journey along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing Kalaa M’gouna (Valley of Roses) and the Skoura palm oasis. Stop in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” for its film studios and cinema museum. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to reach Marrakech for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Marrakech Sightseeing
Discover Marrakech, the “Red City.” Explore the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and Jemaa el-Fna Square, alive with storytellers, musicians, and food stalls. Wander through colorful souks, visit the Majorelle Garden, or relax in a traditional hammam. Overnight in a riad or hotel.
Day 9: Day Trip to Essaouira – Return to Marrakech
