Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes
Your private tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Casablanca. Enjoy a brief city orientation before heading to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, where you’ll visit key landmarks such as the Hassan Tower and Kasbah of the Udayas.
Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, and explore the nearby Volubilis, a remarkably preserved Roman archaeological site. Arrive in Fes in the evening and settle into your riad or hotel for the night.
Day 2: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast, enjoy a guided introduction to Fes, including the Royal Palace gates and the historic Medina of Fes el-Bali. Then travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, drive through the spectacular Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga.
In the late afternoon, ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, watching the sunset over the Sahara. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional Berber desert camp.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Khamlia
Today is dedicated to discovering the Sahara region by 4×4. Visit Khamlia Village, famous for its spiritual Gnawa music and warm hospitality. Explore desert landscapes, nomadic settlements, and hidden corners of the dunes.
Optional activities such as quad biking or buggy riding can be arranged. In the evening, return to your camp to enjoy Berber music, mint tea, and a peaceful night beneath the star-filled desert sky.
Day 4: Merzouga – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel toward the dramatic Todgha Gorge, where sheer limestone cliffs rise hundreds of meters above the river. Enjoy time to walk, relax, and take photos.
After lunch, continue to the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming local riad surrounded by striking rock formations.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
Following breakfast, drive through the Roses Valley and Skoura Palm Grove, passing historic kasbahs along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Stop in Ouarzazate, the film capital of Morocco.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, one of the country’s most iconic sites and a backdrop for many international films. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech, where your private tour concludes.
