Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Depart Fes in the morning and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Azrou’s cedar forest to see the wild Barbary macaques. Continue to Midelt for lunch before driving through the stunning Ziz Valley, famous for its palm oases and dramatic landscapes.

Pass through Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga. Here, enjoy a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, watching the sunset over the Sahara. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber desert camp under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomads – Khamlia

Wake early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast, explore the Erg Chebbi region in a 4×4, visiting the Tissardmine Oasis and meeting local nomadic families to learn about desert life.

Continue to Khamlia village, where you’ll enjoy live Gnawa music performed by local musicians. In the afternoon, enjoy free time near the dunes before dinner and overnight stay at a desert camp or hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, visit Rissani, home to a traditional market (open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, then drive to the spectacular Todgha Gorge, where towering limestone cliffs rise above a clear river.

After lunch, travel to the Dades Valley, often called the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs. Dinner and overnight stay in a local riad or guesthouse.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue through the Roses Valley and Skoura palm groves along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Stop in Ouarzazate, with an optional visit to the Atlas Film Studios or Cinema Museum.

Explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic kasbah featured in films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
