By late afternoon, arrive in Zagora and set off on a camel trek into the peaceful desert to reach a traditional Berber camp. Spend the night under a canopy of stars, enjoying authentic Moroccan cuisine and the rhythms of Berber drumming.

The following morning, wake to a stunning Saharan sunrise before returning through the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and Morocco’s longest river. Conclude your journey back in Marrakech with lasting memories of Morocco’s desert magic.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

• Depart Marrakech at 8:00 AM and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), enjoying panoramic views and photo stops in Berber villages.

• Visit the legendary Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and more.

• Continue through Ouarzazate and the Anti-Atlas Mountains, arriving in Zagora by late afternoon.

• Take a camel ride into the desert, watch the sunset over the dunes, and spend the night in a Berber desert camp, with traditional dinner and music under the stars.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Tamnougalt Kasbah – Marrakech

• Rise early to witness a magical desert sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp.

• Ride your camel back to Zagora and begin the return journey through the Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and endless palm oases.

• Stop at the ancient Tamnougalt Kasbah, a hidden gem showcasing Morocco’s rich history and desert architecture.

• Continue through the Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by early evening.
